    Week 4 (22.04-28.04)
I was on holiday from monday to Wednesday and it was really nice. Basically just going to th sauen, swimming, relaxing in the sun readind or listoning to a podcast and eating :D. All in all super nice time off. Started to read “power of habits” and really like it so far. It explaines a lot how habits work, and why they are so important.
After Wednesday managed to play 3 sessions (took of sunday because of my grandmas birthday)
    – volume: 93 tournaments with an ABI of 7,8$ -> hit my reduced volume goal for the week
    – study: I did around 6/7 hours but did not manage to hit my goal of 10h which I was kind of expecting due to my holiday. I finished the Explaining the Ranges Video 1 and also was more active an discord again, wich is good. also did a warm up efore every session!

    Next week
    – Study hit 10h +
    – Revie a Ft I played last week and post some hands
    – 3 hands discord and feedback to another 3
    – reiview session with study group
    – Explaining Ranges p2
    Extra: Jaime+ Ben review video
    playing:
    – 110 tournaments +

As we are 4 weeks in the month a short recap of the Month
    – Goal: 450: -> 427 tournaments played (should easily reach that with one session to go tomorrow)
    – 112 hours played
    – ABI: 7,4$ (before this motnh was playing 5,3$)-> really happy with how moved up a bit. I will now stay at this levelf for a while, get in a good amount of volumen and see how it goes before I move up furhter/or down again.
    – Study. Goals: 40h -> I did 35/36 which is near but not quite there but I making good progress and will keep doing so.
    next Month, same Goals
    – 450+ tounaments
    – 40 h study

    Lets get after it!

    Week 5 (29.04-05.05)

Hey guys, just a  short update

    – Study:  finished the explaining the Ranges video and the part 1 of ben+ Jaime. Also reviewed one of my Ft and did some work on ICm. Also stratedt to revie another Ft of myself with my study group. Aldo was again more active on discord and posting hands as well as giving some feedback. Have to continue in this direction. All in all very happy on this front.

    – volume: 143 tournaments played (37 hours) ABI 7,9$ in 5 sessions -> goals reached (small winning week again)

    next week

    – Already planed to study sessions ond Wednesday+ Friday

    – starting working on short stack play-> RYE video + homework

    – Discord: 3 hands post+feedback

    volume: 110 games+

Unfortunately having some issues with my knees right now and had to stop runnig for the moment, so only working out in the gyt atm which is okay but hoping to be back running soon. Also starting to teach a new class today, so also will be more busy again this week with working. Always exciting to start a new class with new peoples and have to admit I am a bit nervous ( first class I teach fromm the beginning) but this only shows me that this is an opportunity to grow. Have to be very structured and disciplined with my schedule the next weeks to progress on all fronts and be aware of always prioritize the tasky ahead. But I am looking forward to the new challenges.

    Lets get it

    Week 6 (06.05-12.05)

What up guys? How was the first scoop sunday? Mine was a blodbath but I I kept my head up and tried to take everything as it comes and just focus on my next decision. So in hindsight it actually feels kind of  like a win. But yesterday while grinding it was tough, sometimes when nothing works out and you can do whatever, I start to question my play and feel like the fucking  worst player. But once I get aware of this feeling it is already fading away and I can focus on the next decisions again. This reminds me,  how extremely important it is to be aware of your feelings and mood while grinding (of course also in life :D). Two things that really helped me yesterday were 1.  the idea of “loosing the minimum”/”it is day to build my character” of which Ben talks sometimes  and 2.  sitting up straight again once I notice get sit sloppy. When the sesseions goes downwards I noticed that my posture gets worse and worse and I sit not straight but  nearly lie in my chair. Once I notice that I just sit back up straight, take a big breath  which already raises my focus again and it helps me to be aware when I am loosing focus and to gain it back.

    How was the week?

    – volume goal 110 -> check, played 125 tournaments with ABI 8,9$. It is higher as normal because of yesterdays Buyins, because  I played more 22$ the normal. had quite a bigg loosing week for my standards.

study: Did 2 review sessions which both were very good. Also finished the Pushing/calling Video and I am working through the homework (analysze 30 spots in depth). While doing those spots I noticed how important it is to do Chipv ev spots regularly and I will be doing a minimum of 10 spots every week from now on.  I will do them sometimes before my session as a warm up or as  a regular study session. Also did post 2 hands on discord and gave feedback to some. All in all a good week again.

    Next week

    – finish the call to action/10 HRC spots

    – start next short stack video

    – Post 2+ hands on discord

    – start reading Mental game of poker again (start to do the call to actions in this one)

    – finishing part 2 of Review from Ben+Jaime

I will be on a short holiday for the weekend in Zurich visiting one friend together with another freind. Really looking forward to that but cause of that I will be probably playing only 3 sessions to this week. Was thinking about playing a session on sunday there. Am I allowed to play in Switzerland? -> so only 90 torunaments this week

On an other note I am listoning to “Deep Work” at the moment (book also recomended by Fedor Holz) and it is great. It focuses on how we can do “deep” work in a time of permanent distraction (we cant) and talks about how bad it is for your focus and qualitiy of work to be distracted all the time and switch the object on which you focus. So my take away so far ist to really minimise all distractions when i am grinding but as well when I am studying. I put on music and then put my phone away (also try to not look in breaks) and just focus straight on playing/studying for 2h (started with 1 hours) and so far I am really enjoying it and think it is beneficial and will be looking to stretch those periods.

Thats it for now guys. Lets get after it!

    Hey nice update :)

I also got destroyed yesterday, lost over 100 buyins last week on the tournament grind so maybe we can lift each other up again! Seems you have a really good attitude right now and its great to see. Weirdly enough, I do the same thing with the sitting posture and I always try and sit myself back up once I notice it.

Also just thought I’d say thanks for posting up those hands on the discord. It really helps me to think about other peoples’ hands and post my own analysis and compare it to yours / other students’.

Good luck this week and I wish you a nice time off with your friend. Lets see what the rest of SCOOP brings.

    Week 7 (13.05-19.05)

Last week was a bit sloppy in genereal due my weekend trip which lead to smaller amount of time spend on poker. So I did not study as much as i should have becaue I did not manage to block enough time. Will be adjusting for the next week and attack again. I finished the home work for the Jamming/calling video and started the new video about rejamming/calling rejams but did not do 10 HRC spots and did not post any hands or did review session. But my trip to Zurich was very nice, beautiful city and good times with friends, although Zurich is really expensive especially for food+drinks. Now I am sitting in the train back to Cologne (managed to book a ticket for the wrong day and had to buy a new one..), writing this blog, planing the next week and will be studying later.

Volume: ca. 100 tournaments and a pretty big loosing week. I had a couple of deep runs but nothing really  exciting. So we go again next week!

    next week:

    – finish rejamming video

    – 10 HRC spots

    – post 2+ hands discord (also some rejamming Ranges and ask what other players think about it)

    – try to schedule a a review session

Volume: I will be playing 4 sessions, so should play at least 110+

Thats it for now. Lets get it!

    Week 8 (20.05-26.05)

Good Morning on this beautiful Monday (weather is acutally pretty shit here in Colgne for end of may),

    another week in the books.

    – volume: Played 133 tournaments in 4 sessions wirth an ABI of 8,9$. Had 2 pretty good days this week and finally won one again, the 10€ Deep stack on Winimax for my 1st trophy there. Yesterday probably had my biggest day in Buy ins ever and it was okay. Had some really good runs (got 9th in 7.50 deep stack w 1k for 1st and 40/6000k in a 10€ deep stack on winimax with 7k for 1st) but could not close it out but its always nice to have this runs going and at one point things will go the right way. Till then I just prepare as good as possible to be ready when it comes. There is a saying from Seneca: “Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity” which I really like. The luck part I can not control so I have to make sure to be as prepared as I can! All in all still a good winning week again, but still down a bit for the month.

    Study

    – finished the Masterclass video (rejamming), did 10+ Hrc spots, posted 2 hands in Discord and finished the Jaime#Ben Video part 2. Main take away was to play more exploitable, especially in BvB spots + bet sizing. Especially on the stakes I play I can go pretty much “banana” exploit and  just go with bigger sizing with value and smaller sizings with bluffs (especially c-betting). I will still not do it vs. the better Regs who would maybe notice (probably not) but vs everyone else I can adjust a lot! Same with BvB. Vs population it will be the most profitable to just Raise a bunch from the SB and only limp worse part of the Range. 1. Population overfolds vs Raise and lots of hands profit a lot from immidiate Fold Equity  2. Population is too tight vs limps and does not raise enough so i can profitable limp basically everything. 3. Vs Regs I am not going to do it. 4. Once I notice that someone is aggro vs raise/limps I make a note and adjust my strategy and add strong hands to limping/ play more balance strategy.

    Next week:

    – do Call to Action (maybe post some results here): 20 rejam spots.

    – finish Ben+Jaime part 3

    – 2 study session with others

    volume: 110+

Last week I also started with getting my drivers license. I thought this is going to be horrible and I didnt really wanted to do it, but it is not as bad as expected (as it is often in life). I actually enjoy to learn new stuff and it is kind of fun so far. So thats another non poker related project I am working on at the moment. Thats it for now. Keep going guys!

    Week 9 (27.05-02.06)

About last week. It was a complete shit show. My biggest loosing week ever. Playing through it was for sure hard and frustrating in moments but at the same time I know i need to go through these times and come out stronger. If I am not able to do that, my chances of making a living from poker are not there. I just read a quote from Bear Grylls yesterday in “Tribes of mentors” which adds to this topic: “Storms makes us stronger”. He talks about that we should not shy away from hard times and obstacles but attack them. In those “storms” a lot of people run away and not even try to make it through because it is getting hard, but when we dont do that and keep trying to overcome the obstacles we can grow and define ourselfs and emerge stronger. Easy to translate to poker as well. I think the number of players who were good enough to beat the game but couldnt handle bad runs and loosing and left poker or didnt pursue it as a proffession is pretty high. I am here for the process and the obstacles are part of that, so I better accept them and take them as they come and try to grow and emerge as a better player. and DONT fucking whine about them. The reason for me talking about this is, that I need to reaffirm these things to myself because this may be a simple concept but its not easy to really live and follow.  It is easy to get less motivated to play and study when results are shit but thats not the way to go! It is easy to let yourself down, get tilted, loose focus and play your B+c or worse when everything goes to shit while grinding, but thats not the way to go!

I played 124 tournaments last week with ABI of 9 $, so pretty much same as last weeks.  I lost around 80 Buy ins  but I will  be playing same stakes this week and see how goes. When I have the feeling that money/higher stakes are affecting my play I will remove them from my schedule for a while and come back later.  I also will see how it went resultwise next monday and  maybe adjust stakes depending on how it went. I have a number in mind, if i go under that with my BR I will  move down again.

I noticed that last weeks results did not effect my life outside of poker much. I was still working on the things i need to and I did enjoy my time off with friends and the girl without being sad or in a bad mood, which is really good to know.  I dont want my hapiness ever be depending on short term poker  results. Its not that after a bad session I am all happy and smiling but it just takes short moment to reset my mind, accept it and then move on with whatever there is.

    Study:

    – did 2 review sessions

    – finished Jaime+Ben video part 3

    – reorganised my poker notes! I had a lot of notes from different videos on paper and I started to organisze them with OneNote. I really like it so far and it is way clearer this way. When watching a video I will keep writing down my notes handwritten and then transfer them to OneNote. This way I have everything in one place and can add stuff whenever I want to.

    – I did not finish the homerwork from RYE course, but started it

    This week:

    – Finish homework

    – watch: Rejamming Multiway vs Late Positions Video

    – Post 2 hands in Discord

    – warm up before every session

    -> preflop Ranges

    -> CHip Ev spots

    – finish to organisze notes

    – Volume: 125 tournaments +

    Thats it for now. Cheeers

Good Mornig ! Week 10 (03.06-09.06)  is in the book and it was a good one.

Volume: 121 tournaments played ( goal missed by a little something) with an ABI 8,74 which is a little lowe the the weaks ago but not a bunch.. I was skipping some 22$ this week after lasts weeks resulsts but played pretty much same schedule otherwise. Luckily I didn’ skip the BB22$ on Friday, whcih ended up 2nd in for my 2nd biggest cash so far. Really grateful for the run  and my first FT in one of the 22$. I came in short and got lucky a good bit to get 2nd, so nothing to complaing about although the difference between 1st and 2nd in those PKOs is insane (luckily made a ICM deal in heads up and only playing for Bountys). So al in all really good winning week. For now I will continue to play same schedule and stay at my ABI.

    Study

    – Finished the Rejamming MW vs LP: Video is INSANE value. It was so eye opening for me. It is still  hard for me to pull the trigger in game in a lot of the spots and rejame 30/35/40BB as it feels so uncomfortable but the numbers dont lie! So I keep working on those spots and get used to them.

    – Did not finish the old homework from Rejamming RYE video. I still have to do 3 spots whcih I marked in yestedays session and will rund today.

    – Posted 2 hands in Dicord. It still feel uncomfortable to post and put myself out there. But every time I do it someone takes the time to response and the input is always very helpful. One of the simplest and best tools to improve, so I have to keep doing it.

    – Did warm up before every session

    – So my notes are now organised on One not. Now I will start to transfer all my old notes (from all the RYE videos)  there and then I have finally everything in one place. For me this is most important when I watch “random” videos which dont have one specific topic, for example a review from Ben and Jaime. In thse videos is a LOT of value but they speak about very different aspects of the game and so are the notes.  Now I can take those notes and sort them after different topic i created in one note (f.E. C-betting, Turn play, ICM…..) and always add new stuff to the topics.

    next week

    – finally finish homework RYe Rejamming

    – STart homework Rejamming MW vs LP: create rejammin Ranges for different stacksizes and positions

    – keep working on the notes

Also net weekend I finally will make my first ever Live poker trip! I will be going to Rozvadov and the Kings casino for the whole weekend. Main Event ist a 2 Day event with 175€ Buy in with a couple of Day 1s. Planning on playing as many as necesarry to make it to Day 2 and then see which other events I can play. I think there are 4 Day 1 so could be quite expensive. Luckily I have  friends who support me (they like playing poker but not serious at all) who are able to Buy pieces of me. This way I will be able to play waht I want, reduce my risk and hopefully make them some money. Really looking forward to play and really curious on how good the field will be. But I am very positive that i will be capable of beatng the fields and that I offer my friends agood value deal. Because of this poker trip I will obv not be plaaying that much online this week and only get in 2 sessions.  But hell yeah, I am really excitet fo the trip. Wish me luck!

    Volume goal 60

Thanks for reading. See you next week!

    Hello Boys and Girls,

I am writing to you out of the train from Rozzvadov back home. I spend the last weekende mostly in Kings casino playing poker during  the S.O.P.C (Scandinavian Poker Open Championship). The Main Evnt was a 175€ Buy in and different strating days from Friday to sunday and a final day 2 on sunday! The whole weekend was just great! The experience of playing in Kings (organisation and managment of tournaments+ dealers were great!), meeting a lot of people who  love playing poker, the vibe and playing my first real torunament live was just fantastic! I fired 3 bulets in the Main and managed to qualify for Day 2 with a really short stack of 13bb but managed to run it up and finally bust in 35th/950 people.  I am really grateful for the experiences of this weekend of really looking forward to makes those trips more often in the future. Also at some point in the tournament they srarted live streaming a table on twitch and i was not on that table so that so thats a goal going forward ;)

Also very nice to see how soft those Events still are. yeah, everybody talks about it but to see and experience it on your won is something different. This makes myself more confident for the future. At the same time this trip makes me more motivated ato work on my game and get better so in the future I will be able to play more and higher buy in events. In hindsight I am very very happy that I sold a good amount of my action for the trip. Not because I have lost less money this way (still down a small amount for the trip) but because it made me way more comfortable to fire more bullets and play as good as I can and not think about how much money I am down/loosing! I would alwys to it again for future trip. Not only because of BRM but because it makes me play better.

At the same time the live grind reminded myself how lucky I am to be playing online. The amount of hands/volume you can get in is insane and it gives you such great possibilitys to learn/grow for way cheaper that you could ever do live. While playing live I dont mind the “slow” playing actually. It was just so much fund and I didnt feel too inpatient or bored but when you look at the grand skeem it obv matters a lot how much volume you can play. So really looking forward to online again :D

About last week: Played two sessions with 65 tournaments and a small winning weak. I finished the homework for the Rejamming video and started with the rejamming Ranges vs Lp which i will finish this week. also pallning on doing 1-2 review session. Last weeks I started doing some study session in which we focused on a specific spot f.E. Utgs vs BB or Bu vs BB and looked on different board types and how to play them. I think this kind of study is very helpful (noticed already in game a lot) and can be a good add to reviews/hand break downs. For next week I also want to  start working on Bounty content.  I am playing wuite  a bunch of them and enjoy them but I am way to clueless in a lot of spots so i need to close some leaks and work on that. To do this I want to start to view the review Ben did with the Bounty expert of RYE.

Thats it for now. Thank you for reading and as always looking forward to any kind of response/odeas you guys have.

    Cheers Weezy

    Week 11 (17.06-23.06)

    Hello Hello you lovely people,

last week was a bit  lazy. I took a bit more time off, spend some quality time with my girlfriend, watched the soccer game of my team (as I am still injured I cant play) and had a good time in the sun in our garden (with a small pool :D as it is getting really hot here in Germany). It was a lot of fun but now it is only around 4 weeks till my holiday starts and I want to make them count. So full force back on poker and study till then. I did play only  3 sessions and each of them was not long. I played only 72 tournaments this week which is not enough volume. ABi was 9,5$. Also sudy was a bit more sloppy but still got a couple of hours in. Had another great review session and started watching the Bounty builder review from Ben but did not manage to do my homework on the rejamming Ranges. So thats on the list for this week. Resultwise the lasst wek actually was really awesome. Won in every session and managed to win the “Ring” on Winimax yesterday for my 2nd biggest score ever. Hopefully Ican accieve some more great results in the next month. I will be putting myself in the best possible position for it!

    This weeks goals:

    – Review full tournament

    – Rejamming Ranges MW vs LP

    – Bounty builder Reviw part 2

    – Volume: 4 session w min of 110 tournaments total

Outside of poker one of my goal was to loose some weight and weigh less then 80kg again. Last week I was regularly under 80kg for the first time. I am really happy that I hit that goal and now look forward to move down to 78kg till my holiday starts. Beside the number it just feel great to be more comfortable with your body and be happy with how you look. Lets see how far I can take it.

    Thats it for now,

    See ya

    Week 12 (24.06–30.06)

    Good Morning you beautiful fellaws,

another Monday morning and another week in the books. Lasst week I played four sessions with 103 torunaments (winimax, pokerstars and 888). Due to  the new changes on partypoker I dont know how many torunaments I played on there but easily reached the goal of 110 tournaments. The changes now make it a little tougher to be sure about my volume, results and ABI as I play quite a bit on Partypoker. I dont complain about it, it is how it is but I like to track :D. To have atleast an idea of my results on Party I will start to write down my bankroll on Party every monday so I can see how things develop. I dont think I have any chance to track number of games or ABI so I will have to guess. On the other sites I have played a ABI of 9,1$ and had bigger loosing week but i had some good scores on Party which should cover the losses.

Study was really good this week. Had 2 review sessions: 1. in which we reviewed a tournament win of myself and 2. a FT of another player who plays way higher then me and it was really interesting to get insight in his mind how he approaches FT situations. Also managed to finish the Rejamming Ranges for MW which still not means that I have incorporated them fully in my game. Still lots of work to do but first steps are taken. Also finished the Bounty Builder Review from RYE + the most common leaks for PKO video. Have to transfer the notes to Onenote this week.

Before I go onto next week I want to shortly recap the whole month of June. I played 389 torunaments (+PP) with an ABI of 8,9$ in around 100h of poker. In total this was a great motnh of poker. I went to Rozvadov for the first time to play life really ( which left quite an impression as you can tell) , reached my volume goal of 450 per month (can only guess with Partypoker, might also  be a little bit less) and really have the feeling that I a making a LOT of progress on my game.  It feels like I am on the right path and for sure moving in the right direction.  Not only on the field but also outside of it.  Made really good progress with my weight and I am in the best shape since years! Still some way to go but progress just feel SOOO gooood.  A little less then 4 weeks till my holidays start and I want to make them count and work my ass of till then. Lets get it!

    – analyze 10 Bounty spots and work on Ranges

    – watch one more Bounty video RYE

Hey mate, I definitely like your goals, I don’t set precise goals like this for myself anymore, but maybe I should go back to it!

About the Bounty course, how do you approach it? Do you go through the contents from first video to last or do you choose the topics you’re interested in?

    Cheers and good luck!

hey pundul, actually dont have the Bounty course! I just watched the free Bounty videos from RYE on youtube and worked with them. When I analyze a bounty spot I work around with Ranges and Equilab and see how much looser we call with bountys. Still a lot of guessing because not sure about equity drop at different stages but better then nothing and for sure better then doing nothing :D
