Good morning guys and girls (week 23 07.10-13.10),
Here I am on the other side :D I managed to finish the Marathon in 4h56 and it was an insane ride. First 20km were lots of fun and experience running through a big crowd with lots of other people was great. Somewhere around km 25 my legs started to get tired and from then on it was a fight. Luckily I had great support on the sidelines (biggest coming from my gf who finished a 1/2 marathon on the same day) which helped a ton. From Km 30 on it was purely a torment as I started to get cramps. I had to walk from time to time and didnt manage to run whole distance but I finished it and I am really fucking proud of it! More then once there was the voice in my head asking ” why do you do that” “Dont you want to just give up and relax” but I didnt let it win. I watched some David Goggins videos before an he was talking about “staying in the fight” when you feel like giving up. As long as you stay in the fight a little bit longer you you cant loose it and this phrase helped me a ton. I reminded myself of it constantly and another thing which helped me a ton was being aware of my self talk you have all the time especially in those extreme situations. I became aware how often it is negative “you cant do it” , “give up” and then changed it and “talked” positve with myself and this is what made me not give up and win the fight vs my own mind this time and push through. All in all very happy I did it and have made this experience. Aftwerwards felt pretty bad as I couldnt move really and my legs hurted and I just relaxed and recovered. If you would ask me yesterday if I would do it again I would have said “no way” but today? Hm, maybe.
– Played less volume last week only 3 1/2 sessions as I stopped playing on saturday as I didnt feel good playing and didnt feel like I could turn it around. This week was not a great week on the felt as I didnt play my best and not even close. Time to turn it around this week and get back to laser focus while grinding and get back in warm up routine which I missed some days last week.
– Study: Was fine. Did most of the stuff I wanted to do and was active on Discord as well.
This week is going to be my last week before my short holiday. I will be playing 4 sessions but cant play sunday because I am leaving saturday. In the shorter week I still want to get in volume and will be studying a little less. Have a great week guys!

Huhu whats up? week 24 (14-20.10)
Just a very short update this time. 1. Thank you Mariano and spicyp. I appreciate it and ideed it gives me a confince boost!
Last week was quite good. Played 4 session had couple of very nice runs but couldnt finish them in the end. Going to review some of it, learn, get better and then try again. Also managed to win 1.1k live dollars with one of the 100$ tickets I won which is super nice. I will be looking for some live events where I can use those :D
Wrting this blog already from our nice flat in austrian alps. Will be staying here this week here and enjoy the mountains! Then going back to Cologne on Saturday and back grinding on Sunday. Going to be fun! Enjoy your weak guys.

Week 25 (21.10-27.10)
Good Morning lovely people from a hazy Cologne. I am back from my holiday and it was amazing. I have not been to the mountains for years and I was blown away honestly. I did not expect to like it that much. We went hiking basically everyday and the nature there is just awesome. We went off season so there werent a lot of people and most of the time we were just walking by ourselfs. I alway thought I am more of a beach guy (and I still for sure am) but fuck. Mountains are epic and very relaxing as well even if walking up can be quite challenging. I came back on saturday and after 7h in the car I didnt feel ready to grind so skipped saturday evening and only played Sunday. I had a winning sunday so I cant complain. I had some interesting runs but again couldnt win anything. This seems to be a bit of the theme of the last weeks and I want to make sure I am not making some crucial mistakes in those spots and I will be reviewing 2 dee runs this week to look for leaks/ICM Punts etc. I think this is very important as a lof of the Ev of tournaments is coming from the Late Game and I need to make sure I am not leaking too much here and it is important spot to work on.
At the same time I am little overwhelmed with poker study at the moment. I feel it is too much to do. There are so many spots and so much to learn that I dont know where to start and I feel my study is a bit too unproductive at the moment because I am not focused on one aspect but too many. It also is very hard to find out where to start and to know exactly where my biggest leaks are. So far I just went through the masterclass and jumped from topic to topic and I think this is a good way as it gives me some structure. Once I finish this I can work on even more specific spots. One thing I always notice over and over again is that doing Range analysis is the thing and I am for sure not doing enough of it. I dont do it because it is hard and I am often lost when I do it and thats why I want to avoid it sometimes. But once I do it I always see how beneficial it is. I should do a Range analysis 2x a week every week! For now I will finish the MW section and post hands in discord with some Ranges

After finishing my Marathon I was looking for a new goal with my fitness and I decided that it is time to bluk again. I am looking to gain around 3.5 kg in the next couple of weeks and build some more muscles again. For this I will be going to the gym 3-4x per week. I am not 100% sure How I will split my workouts. I am thinking about 1 lower body+ upper body+ 1 full body workout per week or I could do combined workouts like leg/chest, chest/back, back/chest + optional full body workout.
A friend of mine (non poker) wants to support me playing Poker and if offering me some financial options which would allow me to play some higher stakes. I dont think it makes sense for me personally to use this for the online Grind as I want to prove myself on each stake and work my way up but it will allow me to play some more live Poker and fire some more there. Till now I played the live stops out of my “life roll” and there was no real BRM (I went couple of times so far and played lowest stakes possible) but i decided to also put some money to the side to play life poker. I do this to seperate my “poker money” and my “life money” to make sure I dont use money I need for anything else to play poker and also this way I can keep score and see how things goes and I can not just keep playing. It would be very hard to apply good BRM when playing live even when you sell action. But now I will be in a better financial situation which will allow me to play with a better BRM and give me some more room. I am still not going to play a ton just because there is no good casino near by and Rozvadov is a long way but looking forward to do play some more.

Week 26 (28.10-3.11)
Good morning from sunny Cologne. Lets talkt about this past week. It was not a good one, more very bad one. Why? in the first place results were really a shit show. 2. and more important is how bad I handled the situation. Something was off this week. I couldnt handle the beats/set ups/my mistakes whatever and got tilted easily. Most off the time I can get myself out off the bad bad mood but this week no chance. I was captured in my story of how bad I am running, that I have to be the unluckiest player ever and so on. A lot of self-pity going on and I am not proud of it. I guess my mental game is not as strong as I thought it be. And this is really terrible for many reasons. It does not only effect the quality of my play but also affects my mood while playing +after and my volume. Because I was tilted I thought it would be better to cut 2 sessions short this week because I was not playing my A or B game anymore. This obviously effects my volume my EV for the week/month/year.
A little time ago I had applied for Mindest course from James Whittet but thought it would be too expensive for me and probably a part of thought my mindset is good enough for now and doesnt need so much work and the investment will not be worth it. I did apply anyway. Last week I got an email from James in which he wrote back to me and some things hit hart with me. I also really liked that he was offering me help even if I wouldnt buy his course and I really liked his approach. In this moment I just decided to give it a go and buy the course and see how it goes. This was even before the shit show really started this week which showed me and I need it more thenI thought. I watched the first video and will goes through this course the next 6 weeks and it will be the main focus in my study. I will still do poker specific study ofc but it will have to take a back seat for the moment. I am going to watch every video, do every homework, do every meditation and give it my best.
Study last week was good but not perfect. Fiished the MW Video and transfered all my notes again. I was also reviewing 2 deep runs and I noticed some spots where I for sure missed some opens/3bets/rejams. So in general i was playing a bit too tight in some spots F2T/F3t mostly which is something I for sure need to have an eye on to make sure I gain enough chips and dont miss spots out of the fear of busting deep in a tournament.
Workouts are going good so far. I want to build back some strength I lost the last couple of weeks where I focused on running more. Weight gaining is in process. I am at 77.1 at the moment and looking to get to 80kg.

week 27 (4.11-10.11)
Hola people, how are you all doin? I am feeling pretty good right now. Last week was a Lot better then the week before. All in all i felt way better again while playing and was playing on a higher and more constant level and was not lossing my shit as much. Still some situations got to me for sure but Is ee some improvement. Not sure where it comes from. I started with the 1. week of the mindset course (and finished all the videos) and so far I really like it and the content is really good. It comes also with some sheets in which you have to answer questions about yourself which a kind of hard and uncomfortable but thats part of the process. One task is also to do one meditation every day which I am doing and I am trying to keep up with my “wakin Up” meditation so I try to do 2x meitations per day at the moment which also could be a reason why I felt better this week. This week my task is to track my days with an excel sheet to get an overwiev how I am using my timme currently. Going to be interesting to have an exact und unbiased look on it. In order for that I need to be very honest in my tracking and dont bullshit myself!
Another reason why I am pretty happy with the last week was my study I think it was pretty good last week and I am feeling that I am making progress again. I did everything required for the mindest course, did review my MW notes, did an HRC session (this cold have been a bit more intense), did a review session and was active on discord providing feedback and posted a hand and played 4 sessions. I really dont like that am not able to track my volume exactly as I like to set myself volume goals which are more specific then 4 sessions but whith playing on Natural8/PP this is not really working out because I have pretty big volume on PP. Are you guys tracking your volume? Could I use sharkscope for this?
Resultwise the last week was not that greatand I had a smallish loosing week in tournaments but nothing to bad. I had some good runs but nothing to exciting other then I played a millions online satty last week and I had won ticket. To be honest I dindt exactly know what the online Millions was and just played the satty because it was overlaying quite a bit (thats also how I won two tickets for the PPmillion which I played yesterday but busted early on Day2). Then I won the 109 ticket and had to play this and finished it with a tiny stack and qualified for day 2 on which you then could win a seat to Day1A of the 10k Millione online and somehow I manage to spin it up, get lucky a coupple of times and dont bust on a VERY long bubble and I will be playing a fucking 10k. Lol. This is unreal. of course I would be exchanging the ticket for T$ but this is not possible and now I am excited to play it! Going to be epic! I am also going to make sure I am going to be as well prepared as I can be for this and ramp up my study for sure. When I finished the satty yesterday it was unreal for me (and still is) that I am going to play a 10k. At this point I realised and appreciated the progress I made this year and how far I have com. At the beginning of this year (still in May) I was playing a 5$ ABI with tournaments up to 11 and now I am playing around a 13-15$ ABI, played the Milly a couple of times (with selling pieces), will be playing a 10k, working with some great players which I can learn from a lot and involved in great communities like RYE, DW Stevies and now the JW as well sorrounnded by people how are on a similar path then me and like to work and improve together. I couldnt even have imagined that. When you are in the middle of the procces it is so hard to see the improvement and the way you went but yesterday I just felt huge appreciation! So thank you to all of you who are part of this! Lets keep it rolling and move forward because this is not the end!
Bulking up is not going to great this week :D Workouts are good and I am doing them consistent but seems like I am ot eating enough calories as I did not gain weight this week. But I am not iin a hurry so no problem and I am going to loosk for some more food this week.
